Denver, CO, December 19, 2017 — cliexa, Inc., developer of a mobile platform for chronic disease management, announces today a collaboration with Preventative Technology Solutions, Inc., (PTSI), provider of medical assessment applications and mHealth prevention services for adolescents and young adults. cliexa has licensed PTSI assessment technology to launch cliexa-Options, a suite of behavioral health apps for primary care and family medicine physicians which will help determine risk level for sexual activity, substance use and other issues. UC Health Longmont is piloting the sexual risk assessment app in its clinic and the service is reimbursable by major insurance providers.

Half of the nearly 20 million new sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) reported each year were among young people between the ages of 15 to 24 and nearly 230,000 babies were born to teen girls aged 15–19 years in 2015, according to the CDC. Undiagnosed STDs cause infertility in 20,000 women annually. Facilitating conversations between patients and their physicians is a significant step necessary to reduce costs and chronic conditions often associated with adolescent behavioral health.

cliexa-Options delivers precise, evidence-based assessments that patients complete on a tablet in the physician’s office before their appointment, creating a structured report using proprietary algorithms for each risk area. The reproductive health app supports early identification of patients at highest risk of acquiring an STD or experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. The mental health and substance use apps identify mental health screening, substance use and resiliency in patients.

cliexa is adding cliexa-Options to its award-winning, digital health platform specializing in patient-reported outcomes and value-based care. The company has partnered with Kaiser Permanente Colorado Rheumatology Clinic at Rock Creek and Colorado Permanente Medical Group since 2016, piloting cliexa-RA for rheumatoid arthritis disease management.

cliexa has been selected to present at Colorado Capital Conference

The 29th Colorado Capital Conference occurred in November 2017. This conference focused around Micro VCs, the gap that they are filling, and how Angel Investors and Entrepreneurs can best work with them.

MicroVCs play a huge role in the startup ecosystem, but the landscape is changing quickly. This year’s Colorado Capital Conference focuses on the evolving role of Micro VCs which are broadly defined as venture capital funds under $100 million in assets under management. There are new entrants into the MicroVC arena including accelerators and angel funds, and how startups should think about the pros and cons of going with a MicroVC as opposed to one of the larger VCs who can take them all the way to unicorn status.

cliexa is selected as one of 6 finalists to Pitch Live at the 4th Annual Prime Health Challenge!

On October 19th, cliexa will pitch to improve the healthcare industry for a chance to pilot cliexa Platform with Colorado’s leading healthcare systems, payors, and provider networks.

Early this summer, healthcare innovators from around the country submitted applications to compete in the Prime Health Challenge, the country’s largest digital health pitch competition of its kind.  Over the past 3-months, experts from across the industry have evaluated the proposals through the Prime Health Qualify process and narrowed the list down to six finalists who will compete in the live, shark-tank style event at the Exdo Event Center in RiNo Denver.  Thanks to funding from The Colorado Health Foundation, winners will be rewarded with a share of the $150,000 prize and the opportunity to prove their solutions in real-life clinical settings.

cliexa wins Venture Hall’s Peer-Selected Investment Award!

Venture Hall accelerator program today announced cliexa (www.cliexa.com) to receive a zero-equity investment of $25,000, as awarded by their peers.

Also announced at Maine Startup Insider website, cliexa won the 1st place award.

Developed in partnership with Village Capital, an international accelerator and venture capital firm, Venture Hall’s program includes an intense peer-review process that has been shown to forecast success better than investors.
