Dr. Eric Eskioglu

Eric Eskioglu, MD, MBA, FAANS is Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, and Co-Director of the Institute of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence for Novant Health and Chief Physician Innovation Officer for Novant Health Enterprises.  

Eric Eskioglu is an internationally respected healthcare executive, innovator, and speaker. As a forward-thinker, hyper-focused on patient safety and quality, he is transforming the future of healthcare in North Carolina and beyond.

He is both a dedicated Neurosurgeon and an inspiring leader whose expertise and unique background in aerospace engineering have been integral assets to Novant Health. He is recognized both by Modern Healthcare as the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives, Top 25 Innovators, and has also been named as the Best and Brightest Executive MBAs of 2022 by Poets & Quants.

In his roles he is responsible for providing strategic clinical and cultural leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care across the Novant Health system. He is passionate about data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare applications along with the expansion of access points and lowering of costs. Dr. Eskioglu has sought out ways to use AI to improve outcomes while maintaining a laser focus on patient safety, including using AI to analyze electronic medical record data, looking at social determinants more efficiently than in the past, and working to create predictive analytics modules exposing which hospitalized patients are going to get sick before they get sick.

Jeremy Pierotti

Jeremy Pierotti, MHA/MBA, as General Manager, Solutions at LucemHealth, leads the company’s efforts to source, develop, optimize and commercialize AI solutions that deliver tangible clinical and financial benefits to patients, providers, and the supporting health care ecosystem. He brings over 25 years of experience in strategically guiding organizations, strengthening operations, and leading successful teams in the age of technology.

Before joining LucemHealth, Mr. Pierotti was the founding CEO of Sansoro Health, focused on web API data exchange, and led the merger with Datica Health in 2019. He built and led the company from its founding to $10 million ARR. He has also served as Chief Information Officer at Leidos Health and EVP, Cloud Solutions at Lyniate.

Dr. Erin Knopf

Dr. Erin Knopf, MD, FAAP, DABPN, CEDS, is dedicated to treating patients with eating disorders holistically. As a triple-boarded physician and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, she uses her combined training with intentionality to assess disease severity and devise comprehensive plans to address the eating disorder behaviors as well as comorbid symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD and more.

She is currently the Founder, Chief Medical Officer, and Attending Psychiatrist at Very.Health, a virtual eating recovery platform revolutionizing outpatient eating disorder care through technology.

 

Dr. Erin Knopf is a board-certified pediatrician, adult psychiatrist and child/adolescent psychiatrist as well as an iaedp Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in biology and a minor in human services. She received her medical degree from The American University of the Caribbean and completed clinical training in The United Kingdom, Miami and New York. Her interest in eating disorders developed in 2008 while working at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX. 

She is a member of IAEDP, AED, AACAP, APA and AAP.

Dr. Arlen Meyers

Dr. Arlen Meyers, MD, MBA, is the President and CEO of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs. He is also a professor emeritus of otolaryngology, dentistry, and engineering at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Colorado School of Public Health.

He was chosen by CIOLook as one of the 2019 Influential Leaders in Healthcare and 2018 and 2019 Top Blogger and one of the 10 Influential Leaders in Healthcare for 2021.

He teaches at the University of Colorado-Denver, consults and speaks to companies, governments, colleges and universities around the world who need expertise and contacts in the areas of bio entrepreneurship, bioscience, healthcare, healthcare IT, medical tourism — nationally and internationally, new product development, product design, and financing new ventures.

He is a former Harvard-Macy fellow and in 2010, he completed a Fulbright at Kings Business, the commercialization office of technology transfer at Kings College in London.

Publications this year include “Building the Case for Biotechnology.” “Optical Detection of Cancer”, and ” The Life Science Innovation Roadmap”. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology and Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship and Editor-in-Chief of Medscape Reference: Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Katherine Richardson

Katie Richardson, MD, is a Board-Certified Pediatrician, consultant, entrepreneur, and experienced healthcare leader. Dr. Richardson spent the majority of her career providing pediatric care on behalf of Kaiser Permanente Colorado (KPCO). In addition to caring for patients, she held several leadership positions including Area Operations Chief, Director of Physician Experience, and clinical lead of a region-wide innovation team for the medical group.

She now has a telehealth practice, supports patients at the Children’s Wellness Center of Colorado, and is excited to begin seeing patients for the Children’s Hospital Locum Tenens program. Dr. Richardson enjoys partnering with parents on their child’s health and has a passion for prevention, mental health and healthy eating/active living. When Dr. Richardson is not working, she volunteers her time with three local non-profits and enjoys watching her daughter play softball.

Dr. Richardson is a strong healthcare professional who graduated from The University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Dr. Richardson is also the co-founder of Fusion Skin Rehab and Therapeasy.

At her current role, she focuses on education and engagement of AngelMD’s clinician members. Working with AngelMD, she is responsible to educate their members around entrepreneurship, advisory opportunities and investment.
